2021 Fall Gala for the Gryphons Silent Auction

Proceeds from this year's Gala will help fund a new Grow Your Own program at Eagle Ridge Academy. Having excellent, diverse, and Classical teachers for all of our Gryphons has been a challenge. Eagle Ridge Academy will begin Growing Our Own teachers right here at ERA in order to increase the diversity of Classical teachers available for our students. This program will include three different opportunities:

1) Four years of scholarship dollars toward education loans for current staff obtaining a teacher's license, then hired at ERA;
2) ERA students exploring teaching as a career can work with younger students in the TEL Child care program and sign up to be a Teacher Assistant Educator where they will be mentored by a current ERA Teacher. Participating teachers will receive a stipend;
3) ERA graduates who come back to work at ERA as a teacher will receive four years of funding toward their education loans.

This program will receive $100,000 funding from MDE to start the progrm and then ERA and FERA will each contribute $20,000 per year. This will allow ERA to have five people in the program annually for a 10-year period, potentially increasing the diversity of our faculty by 50 teachers in 2035.

In addition, each year the Gala will continue to support scholarship funds for our graduating seniors, creating opportunity for future generations of Eagle Ridge Academy scholars.

Each year at the live event we hold a Fund-a-Need to raise pledged dollars for our projects. This year, we are incorporating these levels of donations into the auction site for your consideration and ease. While it is wonderful to receive an auction prize, financial gifts are key to building our scholarship fund and Grow Your Own program, and are fully tax-deductible.

Some auction items have a BUY NOW feature, some are only BUY NOW. Be sure to read each item carefully. Bidders may request a proxy bidder to monitor the items of your choice.
